As February draws to a close, automotive enthusiasts eagerly anticipate Brian Redman’s Targa Sixty Six, the best track day in America. This unique event, dedicated to both classic and modern performance, has consistently showcased the passion of car caretakers and the vehicles themselves. Having attended Targa Sixty Six since its days at Palm Beach International Raceway, I can confidently say it retains the same enchanting atmosphere in its new home at Homestead Miami Speedway.

What sets Targa Sixty Six apart is the impressive array of vehicles on display. This year proved to be no exception, as the event showcased a Ferrari 250 LM, Porsche 935s, and 962s, alongside IndyCars and of course, the Porsche 908 LH that Brian Redman drove to victory at Spa in 1969. The highlight of the event, with Redman taking a few laps in the iconic Porsche 908 LH during the Saturday session, offering a nostalgic nod to his racing legacy.

Targa Sixty Six has quickly ascended the ranks to become one of my favorite events to cover. The combination of incredible cars, passionate caretakers, and the electric atmosphere make it an unforgettable experience for all who attend. As the sun sets on another successful edition of Targa Sixty Six, I eagerly look forward to next year’s event and the continued celebration of automotive excellence.
